The theory and movements of QST
Plan to spend 10-15 hours per week on coursework
- Education week 1: September 27–October 3, 2026—live online class—Thursday, October 1, 3:00–5:00 p.m. PT
- Education week 2: October 4–10, 2026—live online class—Thursday, October 8, 3:00–5:00 p.m. PT
- Education week 3: October 11–17, 2026—live online class—Thursday, October 15, 3:00–5:30 p.m. PT
- To be determined: Individual live video practical exam scheduled with supervisor for October 16, 17, or 18, 2026
- Education week 4: October 18–24, 2026—live online class—Thursday, October 22, 3:00–5:00 p.m. PT
- Education week 5: October 25–31, 2026—no live class—preparation for providing QST to child and family
Clinical Supervision Course
Supervised training when working with one family
Plan to spend 4-5 hours a week on coursework and QST sessions
- Supervision week 1: November 1–7, 2026—pre-therapy sessions
- Family training and goal development (2 sessions)
- Supervision weeks 2–6: November 8–December 12, 2026—the first series
- Trainee meets with family for 10 sessions (twice each week, on non-consecutive days).
- Flexibility may be possible to accommodate supervisor, trainee, or family schedules.
- Includes one live supervision session (virtual) and one videotaped session (to be scheduled with the supervisor).
- Supervision week 7: Thursday, December 17, 2026, 3:00–5:30 p.m. PT—live online conference
- Case presentations
- Supervision weeks 7–10: December 13, 2026–January 9, 2027—flexible therapy schedule
- Makeups, extra therapy sessions, or a break—as needed
- Supervision weeks 11–15: January 10–February 13, 2027—the second series
- Trainee meets with family for 10 sessions (two sessions each week, on non-consecutive days).
- Flexibility may be possible to accommodate supervisor, trainee, or family schedules.
- Includes one live supervision session (virtual) and one videotaped session (to be scheduled with the supervisor).
- Supervision weeks 16–17: February 14–27, 2027—flexible therapy schedule
- Makeups, extra therapy sessions, or a break—as needed
- Supervision weeks 18–19: February 28–March 13, 2027—post-therapy sessions with the family
- Post-testing and exit interview (typically one session per week)
- Supervision week 20: March 14–20, 2027—live online conference
- QST-CT’s end-of-course tasks
- Thursday, March 18, 2027, 3:00–5:30 p.m. PT—final case presentations, graduation, celebration!
Course Ends March 20, 2027
