Prepare for the End of Treatment Case Conference Copy

On this final week of our QST-CT course, you will present your case to the cohort during our End of Treatment Case Conference, which will focus on the changes and the process the child and family experienced. Check your QST-CT course syllabus for the date and time of this live virtual conference.

Please prepare for the End of Treatment Case Conference using the following guidelines:

Make a 10-minute oral presentation summarizing your child’s progress during the five-month QST treatment. Your summary should include:

  • Background history: A very brief description of your child at the start of treatment (gender, age, autism severity, medical issues, developmental function level, goals for the QST program)
  • Changes observed during the QST treatments (related to the child’s Qi): major blocks, emptiness, use of clearing and filling, releasing toxicity and emotion, filling dantiens, etc.
  • Changes measured by the pre-post tests and graph: Share your pre-post graph and describe the changes measured by the pre-post test scores
  • Behavioral, functional, and developmental progress (on goals and beyond): Changes in vitality, sleep, diet, digestion, language, touch/pain sensitivity, self-regulation (meltdowns, aggression, self-injuries, etc.), eye contact, awareness, social skills, etc. Were the initial family goals achieved?
  • Challenges: Describe one major challenge over the course of treatment, and how you addressed it
  • Parent feedback:  Share about the parents’ journey, QST beliefs, and interesting/exciting anecdotes from the Exit Interview. You could share a short video clip from the Exit Interview (up to 2 minutes), if parents signed the QSTI release form.
  • Your recommendation: how should the parents continue QST and how will you continue to support them

We are very excited to hold this final course conference and hear about your QST journeys! The link to the virtual meeting is posted at the top of the Supervision course, OR it will be emailed to you closer to date. See you all there!
